Becoming a Twitch Partner in 10 weeks: Week 2
Now the second week of Christian’s challenge is over too. In retrospect, we are now going to look at the first difficulties that can arise when becoming a professional streamer. In addition, we will discuss how to push the numbers of viewers to get closer to the goal of becoming a Twitch Partner.
It has been a very eventful week. Not only in the stream, but also in Christian’s private life. On Wednesday he had problems with his internet provider, which is why there was no stream on that day. Nevertheless, Christian was able to increase his range. Sometimes up to 30 viewers were watching the stream at the same time. A number that would have been unimaginable last week.
The numbers of the week Have the objectives been achieved and the wishes been fulfilled?
To make it short: No, not all goals and wishes for the last week could be realized. Unfortunately, Christian couldn’t reach the 400 followers (even though he is now very close to reach them ) and the 20 average viewers. But anyway: 50 new followers in the last week and 13 viewers on average (last week there were only 9) show a clear upward trend.
But also many other things happened: PUBG had to struggle with some bugs because of various updates, which caused many very funny moments. At the beginning of the week Christian’s buggy suddenly learned to fly and sunk into the water. The funniest incident occurred on Friday, when due to a game error the team members were no longer shown as such. See for yourself: Richi obeying orders
On Friday the channel got a completely new overlay (which you can see in the screenshot above) and the first big donation of 25€ conjured a smile on Christian’s face.
Increasing the number of viewers on Twitch
We asked Christian what he does to increase the number of viewers and to get new followers. He said that it was important to be often and regularly online, to provide good content, not to pretend to be someone else and to offer added value. In Christian’s case, the added value is the integration of the community: Everyone can participate, no matter if professional or beginner.
Perhaps because of the first two reasons mentioned, there were not as many new viewers and followers as expected last week. The problems with the Internet provider and streaming dates that have been delayed for private reasons have resulted in less viewers. But Christian is not discouraged. Despite all the backlashes, the second week was a success. Christian will be there for us regularly this week and of course we will accompany him on his way.
