Small Streamers grew big & the Results of Week 7
We have now reached the end of the seventh week of Christian’s “Twitch Partner in 10 Weeks” challenge. We have learned a lot, laughed and suffered some setbacks. But our TGOLZ hangs in there. And justifiably so: Many large streamers had to struggle with problems at the beginning. In addition to the facts and figures of the week, we will therefore focus on the early stage of the two best-known German streamers in this article.
Let’s start with Christian’s channel, as usual. This week, the own3d.tv channel on Twitch got 46 new followers. A solid number new streamers could only dream of. Furthermore 44 euros were donated and the channel got 11 new subscribers. In general, new viewers and players join the community on a daily basis, which ensures good growth. On average, the channel has 30 viewers, sometimes even 40. The record is at over 50 viewers.
You ask yourself how to reach this number of viewers? Your 3 followers are nice, but it is kind of depressing to see this number? If you are about to give up, stop at this point and read this article first. Maybe we can motivate you again before we throw you back into the big Twitch pond. But first let’s have a look at some really great clips from last week:
How did small streamers grow big? A little history lesson
There are many big streamers on Twitch, which even our hard-working Christian can’t compete with. Stars like Gronkh, Shroud or DrDisrespect attract millions of viewers and probably earn more money than we could ever earn with honest work. Even if it isn’t impossible to stand next to them at some point, it is much more likely to generate a stable income over time. More than 90% of the streamers on Twitch and YouTube are in the phase between “completely unknown” and world-famous. And most of them do pretty well with it. For the last step into the limelight, however, it usually takes a big stroke of luck. It is possible, but quite unlikely. Of course, the longer you hang in there the better your chances are. Your slogan should be “Don’t give up”. To motivate you, we will now present the biggest success story from Germany.
Gronkh & Sarazar
One of them is a trained IT specialist, the other, according to his own statement, has no training at all: Gronkh and Sarazar, the founding fathers of the German Let’s Play community. If you look at them today, you get the feeling that they have always been famous. But in fact, things were rather slow at first. At the beginning they published reviews of games on their website. However, as the audience became more and more lazy to read they looked for alternatives, came across Let’s Play videos from the USA and made this form of entertainment known in Germany. At first they thought that nobody would want to see this, but they hung in there and became the stars we know and love today.
Week 8, here we come Goals for the future
With last week’s growth, the channel has now reached a new peak of 572 followers. As already mentioned, an average of 30 of them were watching daily. Next week Christian will try to reach 600 followers which is very likely with the current development. It’s starting to get exciting: Only two more weeks, then the “Twitch Partner in 10 weeks” challenge will be over. Christian will have to extend his reach considerably in order to achieve this goal. In any case, we continue to keep our fingers crossed for him and are curious to see what happens next.
