The best RGB-keyboards
Are you looking for a gaming keyboard that can be illuminated in any color you like? Then you’ve come to the right place. We would like to present the three best RGB keyboards currently available on the market. We paid particular attention to how quickly and easily the different profiles can be adjusted and how many profiles can be created. Another important aspect for us was how many different colours are available and how they appear. It is also important to look at the effect of lighting effects at night. We had a look at those keyboards for you and gathered your opinions and those of the experts.
Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2 ~149,99€
With the Blackwidow Chroma V2, Razer has reacted even more to the wishes of the players. In addition to the complete RGB lighting, it now also has a palm rest. The Razer Synapse driver software is used to adjust the lighting effects and synchronize them with other possible Razer devices. You have to register for the first start, but you can disable the online function of the cloud driver later. The good overall picture is rounded off by the possibility of choosing between three switches. Unfortunately, the Blackwidow Chroma V2 doesn’t offer macro and multimedia keys. However, you can activate the functions of the missing keys using shortcuts. For just under 150€, Razer delivers a first-class product with a good price-performance ratio.
Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire ~189,90€
The K70 RGB Rapidfire is currently used by many pro-gamers. And this is not without reason: speed and durability are the two main aspects that were important to Corsair in the development of the K70. The Cherry MX speed switches used are among the fastest on the market and there is nothing wrong with the processing either. In addition, the K70 with its CUE software offers the possibility of programming individual keys and setting options for lighting effects. Of course, it is also possible to choose pre-made colour profiles. With 190€, the K70 Rapidfire from Corsair belongs to the same price range as the Logitech G910 and can keep up with it despite fewer extras.
Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum ~179,99€
The G910 Orion Spectrum offers everything a gamer could ever want. Whether it’s the extra macro or multimedia keys that enable fast and easy handling, or the Romer-G-Switches that activate faster than those of other manufacturers. The G910 also offers a palm rest and a robust case. The software for the RGB lighting, however, stands out most of all. It offers 300 pre-installed options for different games and two modes (Color Sync, Advanced Software) for manual color combination settings. The ARX Control Holder allows smartphones and small tablets via software to display statistics while gaming. However, not all smartphones fit into the holder and there is no charging possibility. Although the G910 is quite expensive at just under 180€, it also delivers a truly convincing performance for its price.
